Statement from NHS R&D Forum

The NHS R&D Forum Executive Group are delighted to announce RDF21 will take place in Newcastle from the 16-18th May 2021. RDF21 will follow a similar format to what was originally planned for RDF20 and be held in Sage Gateshead.

Following lengthy discussions, the NHS R&D Forum Executive Group have made the decision not to hold RDF20 as a virtual event in October 2020.

Please find below a series of questions and answers relating to RDF20 and RDF21.

Frequently asked questions

If payment has been received your place will be automatically transferred to RDF21 and 100% of your payment for RDF20 will be carried forward to RDF21. You will be required to reconfirm your place in September when bookings open for RDF21.

You may transfer your place to a colleague. This will be available when the booking system opens in September.

 

If you booked as an individual, you can login to your booking and the status of payment will be displayed.

If your booking is part of a Group Booking, contact the person who made the booking. If you experience difficulties finding the status of your booking, please contact us at info@rdforum.org.uk

Alternatively, to check the status of your delegate payment for RDF20 please enter your email address below. If you booked a group then you will need to enter the email address of a delegate on your group booking.

Bookings for RDF21 will open in September.

Some of the conference hotels available may differ for RDF21. Details of the conference hotels will be posted on the conference website and the allocations will be shown within your booking. Those bookings that have been paid for RDF20 will be given priority when the hotel allocation is completed.

If payment is received by 31st August 2020 your place for RDF21 will be confirmed.

If payment is not received by 31st August 2020 you will be required to make a new booking for RDF21.

You will be contacted later this year to be asked if you would like to present your poster at RDF21. In this case you would not need to resubmit the abstract. There will be a call for abstracts for new posters in the Autumn.

The Programme Content Group will review the programme later in the year and we will contact you regarding the status. We cannot guarantee that your session will be automatically included in RDF21. There will be a call for abstracts for new oral presentations in the Autumn.

Sponsor and Exhibitor bookings will be automatically transferred to RDF21. Any questions regarding this please contact info@rdforum.org.uk

The NHS R&D Forum Executive Group have made the decision not to run such an event due to concerns about the availability of NHS resource for the remainder of this year. The NHS R&D Forum are exploring opportunities to deliver short, virtual offerings independent of RDF20 later in the year.
