RDF20 will take place in Newcastle/Gateshead. Newcastle is a city on the north bank of the River Tyne and Gateshead is a town on the south bank. Both are diverse, with world class culture, vibrant nightlife, dining, heritage, acclaimed architecture and not forgetting the famous Geordie spirit.
RDF20 Sunday evening will be held at the Crowne Plaza in the Stephenson Quarter of Newcastle. The workshop will take place in the Stephenson Suite, named after Robert Stephenson, arguably the greatest engineer of 19th Century. Following the workshop there will also be a networking buffet. The Gin Bar will also be open.
Sage Gateshead is one of the most iconic buildings in the UK which sits high above the River Tyne, on the Quayside in between the Tyne Bridge and Millennium Bridge. It is a glass fronted music venue, has faultless acoustics and has hosted a wide range of international medical and education conferences. Sage is also a charity, events held here directly support their mission to enrich people’s lives through music.
RDF20 will have the use of Sage Gateshead exclusively on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th May. Plenary sessions will take place in Sage One a stunning wood panelled auditorium. Breakout sessions will be held in Sage Two, Northern Rock Foundation Hall and the Barbour Room. The exhibition will be on the Concourse overlooking the River Tyne and Newcastle cityscape.
RDF20 Newcastle/Gateshead will be different to any other R&D Forum Annual Conference. Prepare to be impressed.
