The NHS R&D Forum are delighted to announce the following speakers for RDF19, The 2019 Annual NHS R&D Forum. RDF19 will be held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton from the 12th-14th May 2019. The Annual NHS R&D Forum is one of the largest gatherings of R&D Directors, Managers, Administrators and related functions in the UK. RDF18 saw over 600 people attend the 2 day conference with 60 speakers, over 60 posters and more than 20 exhibitors.
Job Title: National Research Delivery Director
Organisation: NIHR Clinical Research Network
Dr Clare Morgan is National Research Delivery Director at NIHR Clinical Research Network. With responsibility for Research Delivery across the Network, this includes national oversight of performance of the national research portfolio, including commercial and non-commercial research across all specialties and providers of health and social care. Working closely with funders, regulators, providers and commissioners, the Directorate is responsible for setting and evolving policy strategy and initiatives associated with improving efficient delivery of research, from study funding, through set up to closure. Clare has recently returned from a 12 month secondment at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH) leading on number of projects across the Trust and wider Health system. She led on Research & Innovation for the South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Integrated Care System, development of the Orthopaedic & Rehabilitation Research & Innovation Centre (ORRIC), redefining elective care pathways for the Sheffield Accountable Care Partnership plus roll out of a number of Trust wide policies and systems. Clare was previously Director for Industry and General Manager of the NIHR Dementias and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Network (DeNDRoN). She also brings significant experience of commercial and academic clinical research to the role, gained through positions in contract research organisations, the pharmaceutical industry and within universities
