The NHS R&D Forum are delighted to announce the following speakers for RDF19, The 2019 Annual NHS R&D Forum. RDF19 will be held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton from the 12th-14th May 2019. The Annual NHS R&D Forum is one of the largest gatherings of R&D Directors, Managers, Administrators and related functions in the UK. RDF18 saw over 600 people attend the 2 day conference with 60 speakers, over 60 posters and more than 20 exhibitors.
Gaurika Kapoor
Job Title: Operational Manager, NIHR Alder Hey Clinical Research Facility
Organisation: Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust
Biography:
Gaurika currently manages and leads the NIHR Alder Hey Clinical Research Facility (CRF) as its Operational Manager. She is responsible for developing and implementing its operational strategy to deliver high quality and safe research to target and within budget. She works closely with the Trust R&D function, where she participates in sponsor oversight and other governance committees. She has led and been involved in several local and national consultations and participated in advisory groups for the NIHR, R&D Forum, HRA and UK CRF Network. She brings a decade of experience in NHS clinical research governance to this role and is highly skilled in project management, research governance, research informatics, QA and research training delivery. She previously worked in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS FT in Trust R&D and held several posts there, most recently as Trust Lead for Industry Research where she developed and implemented the Trust’s commercial research strategy to meet local and national targets and was responsible for the feasibility, set up and delivery of all commercially-sponsored research including governance, costing and contracting
