The NHS R&D Forum are delighted to announce the following speakers for RDF19, The 2019 Annual NHS R&D Forum. RDF19 will be held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton from the 12th-14th May 2019. The Annual NHS R&D Forum is one of the largest gatherings of R&D Directors, Managers, Administrators and related functions in the UK. RDF18 saw over 600 people attend the 2 day conference with 60 speakers, over 60 posters and more than 20 exhibitors.

Organisation: Alder Hey Children’s NHS Trust
Lucy Cooper (BSc, PGCert, MSc) has been the Research Governance and Quality Assurance Lead for the Clinical Research Division at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Trust since 2015. Day to day Lucy ensures programmes of work pertinent to quality improvement and risk management are planned and managed effectively within the CRD and wider Trust and provides direct support with the complex co-ordination, implementation and delivery of the Trust’s research portfolio. Lucy has a psychology and mental health background and prior to her time at Alder Hey has carried out qualitative research in a variety of settings within the UK. Her previous research includes; exploring experiences and preferences for care with elderly people living alone with terminal cancer. She has been a researcher on EU funded projects that explored both clinical influences on antibiotic prescribing decisions for lower respiratory tract infection and a study which sought to optimise medical and psychosocial primary care for migrants in Europe with a particular focus on communication in cross-cultural consultations and explored longitudinally the concept of Health as a Resource for Living in the experiences of those living with long term physical and mental health conditions
