RDF19 Speaker Details
The NHS R&D Forum are delighted to announce the following speakers for RDF19, The 2019 Annual NHS R&D Forum. RDF19 will be held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton from the 12th-14th May 2019. The Annual NHS R&D Forum is one of the largest gatherings of R&D Directors, Managers, Administrators and related functions in the UK. RDF18 saw over 600 people attend the 2 day conference with 60 speakers, over 60 posters and more than 20 exhibitors.

Organisation: Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust
Michael commenced employment as the RD&I manager at Royal Cornwall Hospital in March 2016. This role followed a successful nursing career in ITU where the curiosity and appreciation of a research active department materialised. His engagement as a research active clinician within ITU led to a full time position as research nurse within the Neurology team based at University Hospital Plymouth. A fruitful research career developed and in 2011 Michael progressed to become the Neurology team lead supporting a growing portfolio of trials in Dementia, PD, MS, HD and MND. 2013 saw the implementation and transition of the Clinical Research Network and Michael embraced the opportunity to undertake a SWP regional role as Research Delivery Manager. This role developed his strategic oversight of research departments and was pivotal in his ambition to make RCHT a leading research site.
