The NHS R&D Forum are pleased to announce that the following speakers will be presenting sessions at the 2017 Annual NHS R&D Forum Conference in Manchester on the 15th & 16th May 2017.
Job Title: Researcher
I am a confident and versatile researcher, I hold my Masters in Public Health and I am just about to complete my PhD thesis (hand in date 2017), the title of my research is “disadvantaged mother’s beliefs on factors influencing obesity”.
I have research experience of working within the public and private sector as well as academia. I have experience of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies including PhD Level framework analysis, questionnaire design, interviewing and focus groups. I have experience of conducting research not only within an academic setting but within the NHS, preparing and presenting research reports at local and regional level.
Whilst completing her PhD Jody worked within Public Health as a Senior Commissioner and is now employed as a Researcher within the Research and Evidence team for North East Commissioning Support (NECS). Within this time and particularly over the last 7 years I have gained relevant NHS / public sector / academic experience in managerial roles, including political strategic and operational environments.
