The NHS R&D Forum are pleased to announce that the following speakers will be presenting sessions at the 2017 Annual NHS R&D Forum Conference in Manchester on the 15th & 16th May 2017.
Dr Phillip Smith
Job Title: Associate Director of Research and Development
Dr Smith is the Associate Director of Research and Development at The East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The Trust aims to ‘enhance patient experience and outcome through research and innovation’. For more details please see our website http://www.enherts-tr.nhs.uk/ Phillip has been involved with research in the NHS since 1999 and has worked for numerous NHS organisations mainly in the acute sector but also primary care and mental health. During this time Phillip has worked for NHS Organisations to directly develop and manage their research and has also worked in various roles to deliver National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) functions across the East of England and in the North Thames part of London. From the perspective of the NHS R&D Forum, Phillip has played an active role in the various stages of the Forum’s evolution and is currently Co-Chair of the Strategy Group. Previous contributions to the Annual Conference include guidance for NHS organisations on being prepared for MHRA inspection and lessons learnt from delivering research to address pandemic flu (2010).
