The NHS R&D Forum are pleased to announce that the following speakers will be presenting sessions at the 2017 Annual NHS R&D Forum Conference in Manchester on the 15th & 16th May 2017.
Job Title: R&D Deputy Directorate Manager / Senior Lead Research Nurse
Beryl is Registered Nurse with 30 years’ experience of working in the NHS predominantly in the field of acute medicine, working as a Senior Nurse across specialties including diabetes, elderly care, respiratory, and renal services before joining the world of health research in 2010 as a Lead Nurse. Beryl joined the Royal Wolverhampton Hospital in a combined role as Deputy R & D Directorate Manager and Lead Nurse in January 2015. Currently responsible for the operational management and delivery of the portfolio of research across the Trust, with a team of 82 staff including those in clinical and non-clinical roles, ensuring swift set up and safe, efficient delivery of projects.
Having many years’ experience in senior nursing roles in the acute sector Beryl is passionate about people, patient care and the impact leaders have, currently undertaking the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Leadership programme at the NHS Leadership Academy, and is also a mentor for candidates undergoing the NIHR Research Leadership programme.
